2013 Shepherd Symposium/PSWGA Annual Meeting

The 2013 Shepherd Symposium was held on October 20, 2013 with an emphasis on marketing- Don Van Nostrom provided a day filled with information all shepherds, from novice to experienced, can use to improve marketing their animals.

For the past several years, PSWGA has sponsored a PA Shepherd Symposium / PSWGA Annual Meeting /PA Lamb & Wool Queen Contest/Beginning Shepherd Workshop, aimed at both experienced and beginning shepherds.

Each year focuses on a particular topic. IN 2012, the main focus was animal health with Dr. David Pugh as the keynote speaker. In 2011, the main symposium focused on reproduction, including advanced technologies, while the Beginning Shepherds' workshop focused on wool.
